The Louisiana Tech University chapter of Women in Aviation International recently held a “Girls in Aviation Day” to introduce aviation as a career. Activities included preflighting a plane, marshalling aircraft, reading a sectional chart, building and flying paper and balsa wood airplanes and more. While focused on young girls, boys were welcome and engaged as well.
