Ronald “Mac” Charles McCarthy was born in Massena, N.Y. on June 20, 1948. He grew up in nearby Winthrop, N.Y. He had a large family with many siblings, step- siblings and half siblings.
A closed-casket memorial service will be held for Rufus Washington, Jr., at 2 pm, Monday, October 7, 2024, at King’s Funeral Home, in Ruston. Visitation will be held at 12-2 p.m., closed-casket, prior to the service.

On Sept. 22, 2024, Jerry Grif f in died peacefully in his home in Grand Haven, Michigan, where he and wife Anne Burford Griffin had lived for the last 22 years.
