The annual Louisiana Peach Festival is set for June 4 in downtown Ruston with more than 10 hours of live music, along with food, arts and crafts, interactive kids’ events, and other family-oriented activities.
If the Lincoln Parish Library Board of Control has its druthers, the library’s Events Center will be under new management in some form in the near future.
A Ruston man remained in jail Monday after being arrested over the weekend for allegedly stealing metal from the Lincoln Parish Landfill located off Hwy. 33.
On Monday morning ninth graders at Lincoln Preparatory School toured the Smithsonian Institute’s “Voice and Votes: Democracy in America” exhibit, a traveling installation on the history of voting rights currently housed at the Lincoln Parish Library. The exhibit is a collaboration between Smithsonian and the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities and is based on a similar installation at the National Museum of American History.
