Voices and Votes

On Monday morning ninth graders at Lincoln Preparatory School toured the Smithsonian Institute’s “Voice and Votes: Democracy in America” exhibit, a traveling installation on the history of voting rights currently housed at the Lincoln Parish Library. The exhibit is a collaboration between Smithsonian and the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities and is based on a similar installation at the National Museum of American History. It will be at the library until May 28, with a related author talk scheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m. Leader photo by CALEB DANIEL
