Roy Thomas Wiltcher

Graveside services for Roy Thomas Wiltcher, age 91 of Ruston, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2020, at Kilpatrick Memorial Gardens under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston, LA.

Roy was born on September 16, 1929, and passed away on October 10, 2020.

He was a loving and supportive husband, dad and “Gramps” who enjoyed the simple things life offered.

Roy most anticipated daily ritual was visiting and feeding the fish at the family pond. Roy was a founding member of Calvary Baptist Church in Vienna, LA, where he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior as a young man.

He was a plumber in Ruston, LA for over 55 years and loved interacting and visiting with his customers.

On May 26, 1950, Roy married Barbara Jo Mobley who was the love of his life and passed away in 2016.

Roy was preceded in death by wife: Barbara Jo Wiltcher; parents: Aaron Wiltcher and wife Clavis; brother: Aaron Junior Wiltcher; father and mother in-law: Ben Mobley and wife Gertie; brother-in-laws: Bill Martin, J.C. Mobley, Vinton Mobley; sister-in-laws: Louise Townsend and Dorothy Roach.

Left to cherish Roy’s memory are his son: Tom Wiltcher and wife Denise of Amarillo, TX; daughter: Tammy Wiltcher of Choudrant, LA; granddaughter: Megan and husband Franco Zanchettin; great grandson: Vincent Vatale “Vinny” Zanchettin; great granddaughter: Maddalena Anelle “Maddie” Zanchettin of Amarillo, TX; sister: Christine Wiltcher Martin of Ruston, LA, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
