Richard Steven Pierce

Richard Steven Pierce passed away peacefully in his beloved garden February 27, 2023.

He was born on October 5, 1957, in Ruston, and resides in St. Amant. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather (Gandy).

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Volney Eugene Pierce Sr. and his mother betty Louise Roberts Pierce. His paternal grandparents Volney Lee Pierce and Erma Wilson Pierce. Maternal grandparents Robert Henry Roberts and Myra Alverne Gibson Pierce.

He was survived by his wife Jacqueline Kidd Pierce; his sons, William Steven Pierce ( Tarra), Hunter Roberts Pierce (Emily) and daughter Amelia Clare Pierce; grandchildren, Mallory Clare Pierce and Roman Hunter Pierce; his siblings, Dr. Volney Pierce (Jody), Nancy Pierce Grigsby (Jeff), and Donna Pierce McCrary; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Steve loved the Lord his Savior. “But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.” Romans 8:9.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Monday, February 6, 2023, at 10 a.m. and service following at a 11. Steve will be laid to rest on Tuesday, March 7, in Ruston.
