Michael is preceded in death by his parents Finas and Lois Corie, and by infant brother John Marvin Corie.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 54 years, Joy Sutton Corie; sons Kevin Corie and wife Angel and Nathan Corie; grandchildren Morgan Kumler and husband Brady and Lindsey Corie; siblings Harley Corie and wife Pat, Betty Wilson and husband Ardis, and Martin Corie and wife Sarah; brother in law Bubba Sutton and wife Charlotte; sister in law Sue Loe; mother in law Margaret Ussery; and by numerous other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friend.
