Dudley Foster Beene, age 85, of Ruston, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 16, 1939. He spent his formative years in Shreveport, where he cultivated a lifelong passion for serving Jehovah God and was dedicated in Baptism on October 7, 1951.

Following his high school education, Dudley embarked on a career in road construction with TL James, dedicating 43 years to the profession. He was revered for his unwavering honesty, punctuality, and dedication.

He also had a janitorial business with his wife for 25 years. It’s there he taught his grandkids both a strong work ethic and his delight in serving Jehovah by always singing Kingdom Melodies while they worked.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dudley’s true passion lay in his service to Jehovah God as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He tirelessly devoted himself to sharing his faith, hope, and joy through countless hours in the ministry. He was known for his infectious humor & delighted in bringing smiles to those around him.

A devoted son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, Dudley was preceded in death by his parents, Selman and Kathleen Pickrell Beene; and sister, Sandra Kay Wright.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Katherine; daughters, Keelia (Donald) Kleinman and Doby ( Christopher) Keene; grandchildren, Adam ( Aubrey) Kleinman, Keda ( Dennis) Sims, Tyler ( Darbi) Keene and Wesley Keene; as well as seven greatgrandchildren.

His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service to honor Dudley’s life will be held on June 8, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Ruston.
