Charles L. ‘Charley’ Chrisman
Charles L. “Charley” Chrisman, 64, of Mineral Springs, Louisiana, left this earth on June 15, 2022, following a brief illness. Charley was born on January 9, 1958, in Munich, Germany.
In 1976, Charley enlisted in the Army National Guard before completing high school. Following graduation from Ruston High School, he served in the National Guard until 1984. Besides family and his wife of 40 years, the enduring love in his life was riding his motorcycle. You would know it was Charley when you heard that familiar rumble and saw a bearded man race by on his bike in a blue jean shirt or jacket with the sleeves cut out no matter what time of the year it happened to be.
Throughout his life, Charley enjoyed travel in the United States and his favorite place was the Cowboy State of Wyoming. Since Charley’s wishes were to spend eternity among the mountains, his ashes will be spread there later by his loved ones.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Loretta; his son, Joe Burton; and his grand children, Haley, Joey, and Gabriel. He was Big Papaw to his greatgrandchildren, Emma, Christian, and Colton. Others cherishing his memory include his parents, JB and Karol Chrisman; his brothers and their wives, Kenny (Renea), David (Carol), Jeff (Terry), Sam (Carla); his sister and her husband, Trish Taylor (Mark); as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
We all loved him very much and he will be greatly missed.
Friends and family are welcome to join us for a memorial service where we will gather for food and fellowship in celebration of Charley’s life, led by his dear friend, Mike Brinkley, on Saturday, June 25, at 5 p.m. at the home of David Chrisman, 2736 Hwy. 15, Spearsville.
