Sprucing up downtown Ruston

City employees kicked off a new cleanup initiative Friday morning, picking up litter downtown and in other major areas of Ruston. Residents are encouraged to join in every second Friday of the month and clean up their own neighborhoods, though participants are asked to stay away from I-20 and busy roads for their own safety.
