Two unrelated incidents involving pointing firearms in the presence of juveniles, and a third that ended in a multi-person fight inside a downtown Ruston business, resulted in weekend arrests.

The first incident occurred Friday afternoon at a residence on Highway 80 west of Ruston when 24-year-old Keondre Davis began arguing with the mother of two of his children about who was going to get their oldest child for the day.

According to Davis’s arrest affidavit, the tiff turned into a physical altercation in which Davis reportedly pulled a handgun and threatened to kill the child’s mother. That was after he pushed the victim, choked her, punched her in face, and pulled her hair before letting her up from the ground, the report said.

The woman’s three children, ages 6 months, 1 year and 4 years old, were present. The four-year-old reportedly witnessed the incident.

Lincoln Parish sheriff’s deputies located Davis at his residence where the incident supposedly happened. Davis told deputies the victim was the aggressor and proceeded to show them videos on his cellphone.

According to the affidavit, none of the videos showed the pair physically fighting. But two of the videos included Davis saying he dragged the woman across the yard and apparently threatening to kill her.

Davis was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and domestic abuse battery with strangulation. Both charges are felonies.

Around 9 p.m. Saturday, Grambling police were called to a residence on Dunn Road in reference to several people there trying to fight.

Upon arriving at the residence, officers were told two group of females were trying to fight. A witness reportedly told police that while all the commotion was going on, Quinjaret Graham, of Dubach, got out of a black Chevy Tahoe with a long firearm in his hand and pointed it at the witness’s juvenile son.

Graham, 26, was located on Kennon Lane in Ruston. He was charged with aggravated assault.

Shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday, Ruston city police responded to Bayou Axe, located at 100 South Vienna St., about a fight.

Six people told police Clark Parrott, 39, of Ruston, hit them at the venue.

According to Parrott’s arrest affidavit, Parrott entered the indoor axe-throwing venue and punched one of the individuals. As the others interviewed, he allegedly hit them as well.

Parrott was charged with six counts of battery and one count of disturbing the peace by appearing intoxicated.
