You can usually identify a serious duck hunter by checking the back window on his pickup. You’ll see a replica of a brace of mallards with wings cupped, gliding in. Same thing is true for deer hunters. A set of massive antlers is likely to adorn his window.

The folks at the TV station had cautioned us about the possibility of thunderstorms in our area for the morning of June 7. Okay so we had been warned so while we kept our eyes on the skies, life around our house was continuing as normal.
After months of enjoying weather unlike what we usually get in late July and August, we are finally seeing weather that makes us remember what summertime weather in these parts really is.
