The grain of salt
You faithful few who actually read this column regularly: do you know why it’s called “The Grain of Salt?”
It’s partially a reference to the fact that, among younger generations, to have “salt” or to be “salty” refers to a state of being angry or upset about something.
But the primary reason for “The Grain of Salt” is that’s exactly what you’re supposed to take my words with.
It’s basically a disclaimer label: This is my opinion, and I’m not sure how much it’s worth.
