In honor of Veterans Day and Literacy Month, the Auxiliary for VFW Post 3615 coordinated a Veterans Reading Day for regular story time at the Lincoln Parish Library. Members of the local VFW Post were on hand to read to children and adults alike while also passing out Buddy Poppy stickers and American flags to the youth. VFW members Jordan Holmes (bottom left) and Richard Maxwell (bottom right) read to the audience and are joined with other veterans above in interacting with the library audience. The Auxiliary salutes Library Children’s Director Sheila Montgomery for partnering with the VFW groups.
