Brownies (second and third grade) from Ruston’s Troop 11 voted on a Take Action project while earning their philantrophy badge to get supplies for the Ruston Animal Control. The girls decided to take $200 from their money raised from selling Girl Scout cookies during February and early March to buy the supplies. The items were delivered to Ruston Animal Control. The girls were able to donate 10 bags of litter and cat food. The girls also assembled 15 adoption packs with treats, toys and collars. Above, shopping for supplies are Brownies Anna Kate Jackson (left) and Olivia Turner, joined by future Daisy Scout Alice Turner in the middle.
