In 1 Corinthians 13.11, the verse says, “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”
Wednesday evening on the campus of Louisiana Tech something very special took place. It’s also very rare for a collection of legendary athletes to gather back at their alma mater for such a ceremony.
This week while listening to an episode of Talking’ Tech with Teddy, the conversation between host Teddy Allen and my former boss Keith Prince took me on a trip down memory lane.
Last week Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser was in the area to unveil two new markers for the Louisiana Civil Rights Trail. In Lisbon at the Friendship CME Church, the marker pays homage to those men and women who stood up for what was right in the 1960s during the height of the civil rights movement.
I’m not a huge social media person, meaning I don’t spend an inordinate amount of time on any number of those apps or sites. My face doesn’t appear much on Facebook and I have no clue what the heck Instagram is. I know what TikTok is, but I find those videos quite annoying.
