A bull that law enforcement investigators first thought had been shot by poachers died as a result of a lightning strike instead, authorities said Tuesday. “We can definitively say it was not shot,” Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Stephen Williams said. The animal was found dead April 8 on property located on Graham Road near Simsboro. Initially, it appeared the bull had been shot in the right eye.
