Members of the Lincoln Parish Library Board of Control unanimously voted Wednesday to set April 10 as a “Fine Free Day.” “We have not had a ‘Fine Free Day’ in a long time,” Vivian McCain, library director, said. “I would like to ask you all if we could have ... that day as a celebration of National Library Week.” McCain said the library usually gets a good response from the public for eliminating the fines. “We usually get a lot of materials back that are out there,” she said. “If they have a lost item or a damaged item, we still charge for those. The overdue fines will be waived that day.”...
