GRAMBLING — The Grambling State University Department of Athletics announced game times for each of the three home football games to be played at Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium during the 2021 season.

Grambling State will spend the first month of the season on the road but will have its home opener on Oct. 2 against Alabama A&M. Kickoff against the Bulldogs in the Pro Football Hall of Fame/High School Day game is set for 2 p.m.

Two weeks later, Grambling State will have its homecoming contest against Texas Southern, with a 2 p.m. kickoff. The Tigers wrap up their home campaign with Senior Day with a 2 p.m. start against Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) newcomers, Bethune-Cookman.

The Tigers opened fall camp Saturday morning after players reported to campus Friday.

“We are excited for another football season and look forward to opening up fall camp this weekend,” Grambling State head football coach Broderick Fobbs said.

The Tigers will take Sundays off during fall camp and will have evening practices Monday through Wednesday and morning practices Thursday through Saturday.

The fall camp is closed to the public. Media will have the availability to shoot video the first 15 minutes of practice and interview Fobbs at the conclusion of each day.

GSU opens the 2021 season on Sunday, Sept. 5, against Tennessee State in the Black College Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio.

Season tickets are currently on sale in the GSU Ticket Office by calling (318) 274-2629.
