William (Bill) Warren Hudnall

William (Bill) Warren Hudnall, 63, of Denham Springs, died peacefully October 11, 2022, following a long battle with cancer. Born to Dr. Jarrett and Sarah W. Hudnall, Bill grew up in Ruston, where he attended St. Thomas Aquinas School and graduated from Ruston High School.

As a boy, he and his family spent many summers in Centreville, Mississippi, at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Carrie Lee Warren. He studied at Louisiana Tech and Middle Tennessee State University with a focus on Computer Science/ Information Systems. He was married to the late Sara R. Hudnall of Columbia, South Carolina.

Bill was a bit of a ramblin’ man, living and working all over the South and as far away as California, always returning home to the southeastern U.S. Bill was a faithful friend, both virtually and in person. He was a talented raconteur who engaged, entertained and encouraged his audience.

He was very well read, politically informed, and a passionate music aficionado who organized a Facebook music group that provided lasting friendships which sustained him during his illness. Bill was a loving family man, and was always the first to call on your birthday and holidays. He also cherished his dogs Sam-I-Am, Smiling Jack and Hermione.

Bill is survived by his siblings and their families, Joe of Roswell, Georgia; Kathie of McKinney, Twxas; Tom of Austin, Texas; and his aunts, Jan Warren of Lake Toxaway, North Carolina; and Margaret Hudnall of Denton, Texas.

The family thanks all of Bill’s friends and neighbors for caring for him. He will be deeply missed.

Services will be held at the family plot in Centreville, at 10 a.m. on November 10, 2022. Arrangements will be handled by Newman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you make a contribution to The Crossing at Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge, or the charity of your choice.
