Mrs. Green attended Louisiana Tech and was a longtime member of Bernice United Methodist Church where she played the piano for over 40 years.

Apart from her family, she loved music, exercise, reading and gardening. Most of all she loved the Lord. So, I choose to exercise and say thank you dear Lord for every day.”

She was also involved in a number of clubs including local book and bridge clubs, which she enjoyed immensely. To her family, she was known for her creamed corn and purple-hulled peas.

Mrs. Green is survived by a brother, Paul W. Hayes and family of Farmerville; sons, Preston Pepper Green (Karen Green Cox, former) of Bernice, and Silas Rockford (Rocky) Green (Mary Kathryn) of Fort Mill, S.C.; grandchildren, Dustin Green, Will Green (Kristen), Adam Green, Austin Green (Bree), Connor Green (Abbi), Annie Green Wise, Chance Green Hunter (Paul); great grandchildren; Sophie Wise, Wesley Wise, Olivia Wise, Tatum May Green, Miller Green and Blakely Green.

The family would like to give special thanks to longtime caregiver Lois Bodine and others who supporter her at home, the staff at Arbor Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation and Caring Hand’s Hospice for their love and care during this time.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bernice United Methodist Church building fund.
