Funeral services for Sarah Lou Edwards Herring Cooper will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, at Dubach United Methodist Church with the Rev. Connie Smith and the Rev. Stephanie Green officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Sarah was born March 25, 1929, in Mt. Holly, AR, and lived there until she and her husband, Derryl moved to Dubach in 1948. She made Dubach her home for the rest of her life. She worked many different jobs through the years and ended her working career at the age of 85, after 20 plus years of service at Dubach Town Hall. Sarah joined Dubach United Methodist Church in 1948 and was a very faithful member and very active in the church. She enjoyed traveling with her friends and loved helping people.

Sarah was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Derryl D. Herring and James M. Cooper.

Sarah is survived by her son, Sidney Dean “Deany” Herring and wife, Donna of Dubach; one grandson, Dallas and wife, Kelsey; five great-grandchildren: Dawson, Carson and Sidney Kay Herring and Aidyn and Madison McDaniel, all of Choudrant; three nieces: Sue Ainsworth (Mike) of Mt. Holly, AR, Carolyn Clerico (Dan) of Carrollton, TX and Arleta Stewart of El Dorado, AR. Servings as pallbearers will be Keith Bagwell, Glenn Bagwell, Phillip Billberry, John Brown, Michael Calhoun and Michael Hensley .Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020, at Owens Memorial Chapel.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the exceptional staff at The Arbor and the Terrace of Ruston and to the nurses and staff of Compassus Hospice.
