David enjoyed a very successful career in the oil and gas industry where he most recently served as a Senior Manager for Energy Transfer. David was a man of great strength and character. He was very strong in his love for the Lord, his family, his work and his many friends.

David possessed all of the best qualities in a man. He was loving, dependable and compassionate. His humble spirit along with his special wit will always be remembered. David was especially known for his love of all things Christmas. David’s Christmas lights were the highlight of his year and he often joked he wanted to be the first to turn his on every year. That was especially done for his daughter, Ashley as she loved it as much as her dad.

David coached Dixie baseball, RGSA softball and RPAR basketball. He rarely missed a game when his children played various sports. He taught his children good work ethics and showed them love and compassion with every new venture. He was the best “Poppy” to his identical twin grandsons, Braylen and Parker. His day was incomplete until they stopped by to see him every evening.

David is survived by his wife, Ouida, who was a tremendous source of love and support for David; his children, Ashley and her husband Michael Acurio, Zach and his wife Brooke Passon, and Brian and his wife Beth Haydel; grandchildren, Braylen and Parker Acurio, Matt, Ashlee, Koty and Diego; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Allman and Penny Passon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
