Marcus E. (Marc) Ward

Private family services for Marcus E. (Marc) Ward, age 57 of Ruston, LA, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home-Ruston. The Rev. Luther Burney will be officiating and special music will be provided by Chris Burney.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 - 3 p.m., Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home-Ruston. Interment will be at Riser Cemetery following services.

Marc had many interests including treasure hunting, scuba diving, and motorcycle riding. His accomplishments included a degree from Vo-Tech in automotive training, a degree from Louisiana Tech University in Professional Aviation, and Marc received his Masters Degree as a licensed professional counselor. Marc was a dear son, brother and friend.

Marc was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Farmerville and also a member of BACA — Bikers Against Child Abuse. Those left to cherish his memories are his parents: Dr. Connie Ward and Betty Ward. Sisters are Janita Maxwell (James), and Angela Mitchell (Ricky). Two nieces: Casey Laird (Alex), Molly Mitchell, Beloved companion Dwanna Ward and her daughter Caitlin Schmidt; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

Pallbearers are Chris Burney, Mike Burney, Perry Burney and Ricky Mitchell. Honorary Pallbearers are James Maxwell and Steve Wirth.
