A legacy service for Jeff Lane Norsworthy will be held at First Baptist Church in Choudrant, LA, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2020. Clint Norsworthy and Caleb Brown will officiate the service.

Due to COVID-19 guidelines: The service is limited to family and close friends. It will be streamed on Facebook for those unable to attend (Go to FBC Choudrant’s Facebook page, like the page, and the video will stream from their main page at the time of service). The family asks attendees to wear a face mask and observe social distancing.

Jeff was born on August 20, 1971, in Delhi, LA, and departed on May 9, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Gervais Norsworthy.

He is survived by his mom, Hedy Norsworthy; by his daughter, Heather Brown and husband Caleb; by his son, Zach Miller; by his brothers, Wade and wife Dawn, Kevin and wife Mandy, and Clint; and by his nieces and nephews.

Jeff lived most of his adult life in Ruston, LA. He was a skilled lineman working first for Highlines and then for Entergy. He took great pride in his work and his colleagues.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Some evenings he could be found walking Lincoln Parish Park or relaxing with family on a porch swing. Special blessings in his life were his two children, Heather and Zach, and his lifelong friend Bubba Smith.

He was known for his silly antics, his joy for wildlife, and his generosity to family and friends.

Memorials and donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Special thanks to the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office, and all involved, for their supporting Jeff’s search at the time of his missing.

Jeff — son, brother, dad, and friend. He will be dearly missed.
