Jamie Ann Crow Mitchell was born Jan. 16, 1949, and died June 18, 2019.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2019, followed by a funeral at 1 p.m. Both will be held at the King’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston, LA.

Jamie “Ann” was a faithful member of St. Mary Baptist Church, serving as an usher until her health failed her. She attended Lincoln Elementary and Lincoln High School. During her 17-year marriage to Willie, four beautiful children were born. Ann worked diligently as a custodian for Louisiana Tech University for 25 years. She’s known for her witty quotes of which her children will be glad to share if asked.

She was preceded in death by parents Victoria Crow and TJ Mayfield; brother Robert T. “T-Cup” Crow; grandson: Ian Alexander Griffin; and grandparents Charlie Crow and Callie Daniels Crow

Her legacy left to share her memories include her children Patricia Ann Mitchell of Lake Charles, LA; Stephanie Yvonne Matthews (Jackson - son-in-law); Valeria Mitchell and Derrick Trevino Mitchell all of Ruston; grandchildren Cory Mitchell, Angelica Naylor, Niko (Felicia) Mitchell, Darion (Kiana) Mitchell, TiCara Mitchell, Destiny Mitchell, Derrick Mitchell, Jr., Terence Hicks, Jr. and Omarr Mitchell; great grandchildren Joseph “Tre” Naylor III, Lasyn Hicks, Davian Mitchell and Landon Baker; sisters Pinkie Burton Streets (John) of Ruston and Peggy Shaw (Larry) of Monroe; goddaughter: Naketra F. Jones; “like-a-granddaughter” Journee Jones; “like-asister” Linda Puckett Fairley, Peggy Stringfellow Garner, Barnell Foster; “like-a-mom” Mrs. L. V. Gray “like-a-son” Gary Babineaux; caretaker Kendra Kelly and other family, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, former co-workers and a ton of friends!
