Graveside services for Floy Elizabeth Conn Moon, 89, of Ruston, will be held 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at Salem Cemetery in Dubach, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

Officiating the service will be Rev. Randy Ray and Rev. Ronnie Sanders. A visitation will begin from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.

Floy was born on October 22, 1931, in Chatham, and died on April 29, 2021, in Ruston. She was a member of St. Rest Baptist Church. Floy was preceded in death by her parents, Ricardo Earl Conn and Orene Helen Robinson Conn; and her husband, Marvin Moon.

She is survived by her children — son, Brent L. Speake and wife Selena; daughter, Dianna E. Jarvis; daughter, Betty L. Stennett; son, Glenn E. Speake and wife Joann; daughter, Rose L. Krantz and husband Bobby; and son, Ronald E. Moon; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Teresa Conn of Calhoun; Debbie Rogers and husband Bobby of Dyer, Tenn.; Geraldine Folds of West Monroe; and Polly Richardson and husband A.H. (Jr.) of Chatham.

Pallbearers will be Jason Boyer, Josey Chandler, Colby Moon, Ronald Moon, Brent Speake, and Glenn Speake. Honorary pallbearers will be David Deglandon, Bobby Krantz, and Wade Robinson.

The family would like to extend special thanks and recognition to Ruston Nursing and Rehab and her nurse, Jeanne Wilson. They will miss their Minnie Moon and Moon Pie. Also, thanks to Premiere Hospice for making her last days comfortable.
