Elbert W. ‘Sonny’ Stinson, age 86 of Ruston, LA, passed away May 12, 2020, after a brief illness.
Sonny was born Nov. 7, 1933, in Minden, LA. He retired from County Market, Ruston, LA, and spent his time fishing, which was his favorite pastime.
Mr. Stinson is survived by his loving daughters; Patsy Stinson Erskin (husband Jim); and Karen Stinson Smalling (husband Ricky); grandchildren JoshuaErskin,AprilErskin, Nicole Timm, and James Erskin; and nine great grandchildren. Preceding him in death is his son Donald ‘Donny’ Stinson; his grandson Christopher Timm; his parents Elbert L. Stinson and Eunice Stevens Stinson; and his two sisters, Geraldine Lisco and Ned Lou Jones.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
