Funeral services for Ms. Dianne Wade will be held at 2 p.m. January 7, 2023, at Antioch Church of Christ in Spearsville, with Bro. Jason Cole and Tommy Bennet officiating.

Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Dianne was born March 9, 1941, in Epps, and passed away January 4, 2023, at the age of 81.

The oldest of her siblings, Dianne lived with her parents in Epps, for the first year and a half of her life. The Wades moved back to Union Parish where Dianne grew up with her siblings until she graduated ULM and LSU for her Masters in Social Work with a minor in Spanish.

She moved to Ocala, Florida to teach Spanish and realized this was not her calling and returned to Union Parish where she worked for Louisiana State Services for a few years. Dianne then went to Shreveport and to Ruston for a total of 45 years.

Dianne never had children of her own, but loved every child she came in contact with in her work, and her family. Among many of enjoyments, she loved sewing and gardening.

She had a “ Show Place” yard. Dianne helped many people in her line of work, was very active in her community, and was also a member of United Methodist Church in Ruston.

Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Floy Bennett Wade, brothers in law, Larry Cole and Ernie Nolen, sister in law, Glenda Wade; and great nephew, Derek Michael Nichols.

She is survived by her sister, Bobbie Sue Nolan; brothers, Thomas Wade (Marilyn), Kenneth Wade, and Donnie L. Wade (Annette); and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 12: 30 p. m. until time of the service, January 7, 2023, at Antioch Church of Christ.
