Solar tax break a good move

It’s understandable that any time a new tax exemption for a business is given the green light, a few heads might start scratching.

Especially when the tax break is approved partly to help generate tax revenue, which can appear counterintuitive.

But in the case of Tuesday’s vote from the Lincoln Parish Police Jury to approve an industry tax abatement to help an energy company build a solar farm in Simsboro, the move seems to hold water.
