Ruston is a good place to call home

During my junior and senior years of high school, keeping track of the colleges and universities that contacted me became a fun game for me. I saved each letter and email, adding up each scholarship offer and giving myself a celebratory pat on the back each time I received something from a different institution.

I know what you are thinking: this game seems a bit arrogant, and perhaps it was. Maybe I did think a bit too highly of myself, but each envelope was a tangible reward for my hours of studying and working to maintain my grade point average.
