Remembering a rainbow that brought tears

Three years ago right about now, I was crying.

Except it wasn’t sadness that brought tears to my eyes.

It was a promise kept by a good and faithful Father who reminded me yet again that he hadn’t forgotten and wasn’t about to forsake us.

This week marks an anniversary most in these parts would rather forget. Three years ago, another of those 100-year rainfall events we seem to have every eight years dumped copious amounts of water into Lake D’Arbonne, causing millions of dollars of damage to hundreds of homes across Union Parish.
