Two years ago this month, a form of terrorism struck Lincoln Parish. It came in the middle of the night on the silent wings of the social networking app Instagram.

A Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s deputy received an Instagram post from a concerned friend that contained a screenshot that clearly seemed to foreshadow an active shooter situation in Lincoln schools the next day.

The deputy notified his supervisor, who, in turn, notified another deputy on up the chain of command.
