School gardens are success for students, teachers

Wow. I really feel loved when I go into our school garden schools. Students are so excited; they shout “It is garden day.”

For the past six years students at Cypress Springs Elementary have participated in gardening. Cypress Springs was the first school to pilot the school garden program. The school gardens in Lincoln Parish are possible because of Lincoln Health Foundation grant.
