Ruston’s Board of Aldermen meets Monday in its role as the city’s personnel-finance committee to discuss the Walker administration’s proposed $65.6 million budget for the spending year that begins Oct. 1.

Monday’s meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at the city hall and is open to the public.

The proposed budget includes a 2 percent across-the-board raise for city employees as well as capital projects ranging from more money for Christmas decorations to new police cars, street projects, firefighting equipment and continued improvements at two city parks.
