Area residents have the opportunity to watch first-hand what happens when a buried gas pipeline is ruptured during a mock drill set for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the North Louisiana Exhibition Center, located on Hwy. 33 north of Ruston.

The drill will cap a day-long training event for first responders and utility operators, and illustrate both the right and wrong way to proceed with excavation, Scott Finley, media and public relations manager for Enertech, said Friday.
