Grambling students and faculty visited the Caddo Correctional Center in Shreveport on Oct. 26, delivering the final installment of books collected as part of the Psychology and Sociology Club’s HBCU Book Drive Challenge, which took place in the fall of 2015.

The Book Drive Challenge was a friendly competition among several HBCUs with the intent of collecting books for distribution to local jails and prisons.

The Psychology and Sociology Club’s efforts were so successful, having collected more than 2,000 books, that it took them almost a full year to distribute them.
