Slaughter, Germany to be honored

Tech duo will be enshrined into the Ark-La-Tex Museum of Champions

Former Louisiana Tech legends Mickey Slaughter and Ray Germany will be among this year’s inductees enshrined into the Ark-La-Tex Sports Museum of Champions at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Shreveport Convention Center.

Slaughter and Germany join Haughton High School basketball coach Billy Montgomery, world record hot air balloonist Bill Bussey of Longview, Texas, and professional golf caddie Freddie C. Burns, Sr. The five new members will join the list of 132 past inductees.
