I don’t know if I can do this image justice — but one of the funniest skits I’ve ever seen on TV was on “The Carole Burnett Show” when Tim Conway played a dentist that kept accidentally injecting himself with Novocain. First he stuck his hand, then his arm, then his leg.

Co-star Harvey Korman was Conway’s dental patient who was unsuccessfully trying to stay in character while he watched Conway drag his deadened leg across the office floor.

While he’s not nearly as funny, that skit always reminds me of my old dentist back in Texas.
