Flash floods nothing to take lightly

We’ve seen assaults by Mother Nature of ice and wind already in 2015.

Now we can count floods in the mix, too.

By the time you read this, it will already have been a long day for many of us in Lincoln Parish. For me, that day started shortly after 3 a.m., when our 7-year-old and two dogs came bounding into bed with us in the midst of a thunderstorm that didn’t stop until about the time my wife brought our kids to school.

The thunder and lighting put on quite a show, and knocked out power in some areas of Ruston, but that was only the opening act.
