GSU police use new technology

Grambling State University police officers are now wearing multifunction body cameras.

GSU Interim Police Chief Howard Caviness appealed for and was approved for a Title 3 Grant totaling $100,000 which will allow for an updated communication system, an updated radio room and body cameras worn on all of his officers.

The new body cameras, which officers started wearing on Feb.1, are used to not only protect the officers, but also to protect the students at GSU.
