New Femfessionals group holds first meeting

Jenna Carpenter, associate dean of undergraduate studies for Louisiana Tech University, was the featured speaker at the first Femfessionals meeting held Wednesday morning at Rosemary’s Kitchen.

Women are becoming a driving force for businesses, and Ruston resident Courtnie Nichols recognized the need for a group where women can bounce ideas off one another and discuss issues that pertain mainly to them.

Nichols began Femfessionals with a focus group in December to see what local women may need from the organization.

Featured at the kick-off event, held at Rosemary’s Kitchen on Wednesday, was Jenna Carpenter, associate dean of undergraduate studies at Louisiana Tech University.
