Math Fair adds up to fun

“Some kids come dragging in because Mom and Dad said that they had to. But when they leave they say ‘That was fun. I want to come back tomorrow. Are they doing it again?’” Holmes said.

Holmes, who made her comments during the fair, pointed to two girls in the corner of the room, as an example of this phenomenon.

“Those two little girls stood behind their mom as she filled in the registration form. But, look and see now — they have smiles on their faces. When they heard that they were going to a Math Fair, they probably thought they were going to do something boring,” Holmes said.
