This week, local residents have the chance to spread Christmas cheer all around the world by simply taking a few minutes to fill up a shoebox with small gifts.

Today through Nov. 24, residents can participate in the Operation Christmas Child’s National Collection Week by dropping off their shoebox filled with gifts at Temple Baptist Church, which has been heading up the local effort for about seven years.

Dropoff times are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 2-6 p.m. Thursday and Sunday; 10 a.m.-noon Saturday and 9-10 a.m. Nov. 24.
