Sealed bids will be received at the Louisiana Tech University Purchasing Office, P.O. Box 3157 T.S., 408 Keeny Hall, Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, Louisiana until 2:00 P.M., December 8, 2014 at which time and place they will be publicly opened for the following:
Painting Residence Hall Areas (50012-294-15)
Specifications and bid documents for the above may be obtained from the Director of Purchasing, Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, Louisiana; phone 318-257-4205 or fax request to 318-257-3772.
Evidence of authority to submit the bid shall be required in accordance with R.S. 38:2212 (A)(1)(c) and/or R.S. 39:1594 (C)(2)(d).
Any person requiring special accommodations shall notify Louisiana Tech University of the type(s) of accommodations required not less than seven (7) days before the bid opening.
All bids shall be accompanied by bid security in an amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates. The form of this security shall be as stated in the instructions to bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project.
The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment bond written as described in the instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Document for this project.
Bids shall be accepted from contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the appropriate classification. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S.37:2212(A)(1)(c). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 37:214.
The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish properly executed contracts, specified certificates of insurance, and bonds must be returned to the University within 10 working days of notice of award or University may declare bidder non-responsible and award to next lowest qualified bid.
The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212 (A)(1)(b), the provisions and requirements of this Section, those stated in the advertisement bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived by any public entity.
When this project is financed either partially or entirely with State Bonds or federal funds, the award of this Contract is contingent upon the granting of lines of credit, the sale of bonds by the Bond Commission or the commitment of federal funds. The State shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until the Contract between Owner and Contractor is fully executed.
