Coffman, Till exchange vows

Katie Coffman, of Ruston, and Blake Till, of Ruston, were united in holy matrimony in a 6 p.m. ceremony April 26, 2014, at Creekwood Gardens. Katie’s stepfather, Dr. Larry Grubbs officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mary K. Grubbs, of Ruston, and Danny Coffman, of Aledo, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Pat Bloxom, of Ruston, the late Charles Bloxom, the late Jan Coffman and the late Don Coffman.

The groom is the son of Todd and Lisa Till, of Ruston. He is the grandson of Gretchen and Jerry Till, of Bernice, Lynda and Sonny Cook, of Ruston, and the late Ronnye Hester, of Dubach.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother and father. She wore a whimsical candlelight ball gown by Allure, featuring a fitted ruched organza bodice, sweetheart neckline with elaborate embroidery accented with Swarovski crystals and a soft tulle skirt with the same embroidery cascading down the skirt. She completed her look with a cathedral veil with delicate organza flowers that fluttered past the semi-cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of light blue hydrangea, peonies, freesia, roses and succulents wrapped with ivory satin ribbon.

Serving the bride as maid of honor was Hannah Coffman, of Aledo, Texas. Bridesmaids were Carol Faulk, of Monroe, Lauren Till, of Ruston, Jessica Saybe, of Alexandria, Ashley Adcock, of Natchitoches, and Cheyenne Morrow, of Ruston. The bridesmaids wore knee-length chiffon dresses in various shades of coral and light blue. They carried handheld bouquets of light blue hydrangea, roses, succulents and hypericum berries wrapped in ivory satin ribbon.

Serving the groom as best man was Ying Zhu, of Ruston. Groomsmen were Jonathan Grandon, of Ruston, Chase Sutton, of Ruston, Cody Bennett, of Spearsville, Ryan Martin, of Ruston, and Chris Otwell, of Ruston.

Makenna and Maisey Pixler, both of Lake Worth, Texas, served as flower girls. Jackson Jumonville, of Lafayette, served as the ring bearer. Samantha Minnifield, of Ruston, served as the guest book attendant.

Therese Barron, violinist, Marci Hall, harpist, and JJ’s Entertainment, provided music. Greg Owens Photography provided photography. The flowers were provided by Lauren Roebuck.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Creekwood Gardens.

Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was held on April 25 at Log Cabin in Ruston. Todd and Lisa Till, the groom’s parents, hosted the dinner.

Leading up to the wedding, the bride and groom were honored with several showers.

A bridal shower was held Feb. 15 at the home of Rachel Gay, of Ruston. Rachel Gay, Bambie Seal, Martha Ann Kennedy, Gaye Brunson, Pat Gaston and Kristie Kennedy hosted the shower.

A bridal shower was held Feb. 20 at Genesis/Davison in Ruston. Hostesses were Karen James, Judy Pylant and Stephanie Smith.

On March 15, a bridal shower was held at the Ruston home of Celia Elkharash. Hostesses included Lafaye Roane, Celia Elkharash and Loma Anglin.

A bridal tea shower hosted by Rebecca Stenzel was held March 16 at the Sweet Onion Farm in Bernice.

A tool shower was held on April 5, hosted by the groom’s grandparents, Jerry and Gretchen Till, at their Bernice home.

A surprise shower was held April 17 at the bride’s place of employment in Monroe. Megan Rushing and fellow employees hosted the shower.

After a honeymoon at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla., the couple will make their home in Ruston.
