The second annual Hope for Autism 5k race was held at Lincoln Parish Park on Saturday.
More than 400 participants came out to show their support for Autism Spectrum Disorder, which affects 1 in 68 children. Micheal Pruden won first place in the men’s division with a time of 21:50. The first place winner for the women’s division was Suzanne Tyler, a special education teacher at Glen View Elementary, with a time of 23:11.

“I’m running today for two of my students,” Tyler said.

All proceeds raised from the event will benefit the Hope Center for Autism, located at 206 E. Reynolds Drive.
