Sleep.

It’s something we either despise or something we love to do. But what many of us don’t realize is the importance sleep plays in our lives.

In order to be a productive adult we have heard the recommended amount it eight hours a night. And for most people this is true — a good eight hours of sleep and you wake up refreshed and ready to tackle what lies ahead.

New research has shown that a variety of factors go into how much sleep a person actually needs. Researchers have based this need off of two factors — a person’s basal sleep need and their sleep debt.
