GRAMBLING — It seemed like the Grambling State Tigers had victory in their hands Saturday.

That was before the thrill of victory instantly morphed into the tragedy of defeat.

Looking for a second straight win as well as their second win in as many seasons, the Tigers led for the majority of the second half — until the final 3.3 seconds.

That was when elation made a sudden transition to heartbreak as Lyon College’s Riley Jenkins took advantage of a defensive breakdown and nailed a long-range 3-pointer to put the Scots up by a point over the G-Men.
