LaDOTD asks for $4M for local work

Ruston’s Tarbutton Road interchange project is moving one step closer to reality.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has asked the state bond commission to add $4 million to the funding already allocated for the work, Mayor Dan Hollingsworth said Friday.

The bond commission is expected to act on the request in January. If the commission approves the fund transfer, Ruston will have enough money to take bids for the project.
“That means the project can go to bid in the near future and will become a reality,” Hollingsworth said.
